When using TCP/IP for SMB, you have to set the following items from the touch panel display:
• define IP address (if the IP address has not been defined)
• select Enable for port status of SMB (factory setting: Enable)
• select On for TCP/IP as the transport protocol (factory setting: On)

Defining IP Address

Refer to "1.6 Setting IP Address for Network Environment" for information on defin-
ing the IP address.
Depending on the network environment used, it may be necessary to set the subnet mask
and gateway address as well. Discuss with your network administrator on the necessary
settings to make.
7.3.2

Activating Port and Setting Protocol

Follow the procedure below to activate the SMB port using the touch panel display.
Procedure
Press the Settings/Meter Check button on the control panel and select Tools
Mode on the screen displayed.
Enter the access number of the system administrator and touch Confirm.
The factory setting of the access number is "11111".
