Setting the Encrypted Reception

To conduct encryption communication operating the receiving system, follow the steps below.

Select the encryption box.
If you need to select an encryption box, set the box.

[Encryption Box] > [On] > [Box No.]

Enter the box number (0000 to 9999) with the numeric keys.
Finish the encrypted transmission settings.
[OK] > [OK] > [OK]
Send Start.
Press the [Start] key.
The transmission will start.
NOTE
When [On] is selected in [Dest. Check before Send], a destination confirmation screen is
displayed when you press the [Start] key.

Register the encryption key ahead of time.
Register the encryption key that you decided upon with the sender.
For the procedure for registering an encryption key, refer to the following:
Registering an Encryption Key (page 5-34)
Display the screen.
[System Menu] key > [FAX] > [Next] of "Reception"
Turn on encrypted reception.

[Change] of "Encrypted Reception" > [On]

Select the encryption key number that you used to register the encryption key that you
decided upon with the sender.

Select [OK].
The machine receives the encrypted originals from the sender of the specified encryption
key.
