i-FAX Reception

At set intervals, this machine connects to the mail server and automatically downloads and prints any Internet faxes
found on the server. No particular user intervention is needed when the machine receives an i-FAX.
NOTE
When Direct SMTP reception (communication without a mail server) is used, your machine connects directly to the
sending machine instead of connecting to an external mail server. Because your machine connects directly to the
other machine, reception takes place immediately without the need to execute manual reception, which is an
operation that queries the server.
You can change the following reception settings:
POP3 (page 10-7)
i-FAX address registration
Incoming E-mail check interval setting
Cover page (E-mail information) printing
Manual i-FAX Reception
Use this procedure to check for faxes immediately.
