Tutorials: Setup Mode
Assigning a Footswitch to Switch From One Setup To Another
On the Setup main page, select the Setup 28 World once again by using the - / + buttons, Alpha
Wheel, or by pressing 28 and then Enter on the alphanumeric pad. Hold a sustained note or
chord and then step on the switch pedal plugged into the SW2 pedal jack. Notice that the
sustained notes from Setup 28 are not interrupted when you switch to Setup 29. This is because
these two Setups both use few enough DSP units for their effects so that the effects of both
Setups can be loaded simultaneously (See A Note About Effects at the beginning of this tutorial
for more information.)
To continue moving through the list of setups, you would need to repeat the steps above for
each Setup. For a performance, you would save a copy of all the Setups that you use for each
song into the space above ID# 1024 (these are reserved as user ID#s.) Save your Setups in the
order which you would like to use them in. For example, for your first song you could use Setup
# 1030, the second song would use Setup # 1031, the third would use Setup # 1032, etc. For each
Setup in your list, you would need to repeat the steps of this tutorial (except for step 10 you
would instead choose the appropriate ID# for the order of your songs.) After completing this for
each Setup, you will be able to advance through the list with a footswitch. Try moving through
the whole list to make sure that the footswitch works in each Setup, if it doesn't, try repeating
this tutorial for that Setup. At this point you may also want to test how held notes sound when
switching between each Setup, and edit the effects of some Setups if necessary. (See A Note About
Effects at the beginning of this tutorial for more information.)
