Press the latches on the sides of the drive carrier, then slide the carrier out of the
server chassis.
CAUTION: When removing the drive carrier, be careful not to tangle system cables
or touch the memory board.

Remove the two screws securing the hard disk drive to the drive carrier, then slide
the drive from the carrier. Save the screws for future use.

Install the 3.5-inch shield cover.

Insert the drive carrier in the server chassis and secure it with two screws.

Connect the power and signal cables to the floppy disk drive and any remaining hard
disk drive.

Using System Setup after installing an IDE HDD

To add a hard disk drive when the manufacturer's installation software is not available,
perform the following to configure the system to recognize the new drive.

Turn on the server and press Del.
The BIOS SETUP display appears.

Select "Standard CMOS Setup" and press Enter.

If "Type of Primary Slave" is "None," press the + key to set it to "Auto."

Press Esc.

Select "IDE HDD Auto Detection."
The system should automatically detect your new drive. If it does not, turn the server
off and verify the jumper settings on your IDE devices

Press Esc.

Select "SAVE & EXIT SETUP" and press Enter.

Press Y, then Enter.
The settings are saved and the server restarts.
