This chapter describes frequently used facsimile functions and operations. For the information not

Basic Procedure for Transmissions (Memory
Transmission)
This section describes the basic procedure for transmitting documents using Memory Transmission.
Transmission starts automatically after the original is stored in memory. You can also send the same
original to several destinations (broadcasting).

• It is recommended that you call the receivers and confirm with them when sending important
documents.
• If memory is full (0% appears at the upper right of the screen), Memory Transmission is disabled.
Use Manual Transmission instead. For details, see "On Hook Dial" or "Manual Dial", Fax
• If the combined total number of programmed destinations exceeds the maximum value, you cannot
transmit documents.
• If you press the [Clear/Stop] key or an original jams in the ADF during scanning, the pages of the
same set of originals that have been already scanned and saved in memory are deleted.
• If memory runs out during scanning, the machine stops scanning and a confirmation message
appears. For details, see " If memory runs out while storing originals", Fax
on the supplied CD-ROM.
