SET MODE
D Beep tone
You can select silent operation by turning beep tones OFF,
or you can have confirmation beeps sound at the push of a
key by turning beep tones ON.

D Internal speaker

When an external speaker is connected and the trans-
ceiver's internal speaker is not required, the speaker of the
transceiver and the connected microphone can be deacti-
vated.

D Automatic foghorn frequency
The audio frequency of the automatic foghorn can be ad-
justed to suit your preference. While this item is selected,
pushing [PTT] outputs the foghorn— experiment with the
frequencies available until you find one you like.
• Available frequency range is 200 Hz to 850Hz in 50 Hz step.

D Radio power
(Appears when a COMMANDMICIII™ is connected)
This item sets the Radio power function ON or OFF.
ON : The transceiver's power is controlled by the optional
command microphone. When the command micro-
phone is turned OFF, the transceiver will also be
turned OFF automatically.
OFF : The transceiver's power is not controlled by the optional
command microphone. Even if the command microphone
is turned OFF, the transceiver will continue to work.
