DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER OPERATION

The VSP-8000 enables two methods of digital video recorder operation. One is by performing direct operations using the command
buttons on the VSP-8000 [A] and the other is by using the call-up commands to bring up commands to the menu screen [B].

[A] Operation using the command buttons

Use the procedure outlined below to operate the digital video recorders.

Operating procedure
1. Press the INDIVIDUAL button.
2. Press the MODE button to change the displayed device to
"DR".
3. Enter the address with the numeric keypad.
4. Press the ENTER button to check the address.
The operating status of the digital video recorder appears
in the menu screen. (Refer to Checking the address.)
5. Press the desired command buttons located in the DIGITAL
VIDEO RECORDER section of your VSP-8000.
For an explanation of the digital video recorder command
buttons, refer to the Command button operation list on
page 35.
Note: Basically, pushing the joystick lever to the left and right
corresponds to the digital video recorder shuttle dial
operation and pushing it up and down corresponds to
the jog dial operation. If the jog and shuttle dial
operations are shown on the monitor screen, when the
digital video recorder is working, please operate the
joystick lever accordingly.

When the address is checked in step 4, the operating status are
