1. When the software online upgrade function is enabled, the connection of the LNK-UP interface and the
serial port of the PC or the connection of the LNK-UP interface with the LNK-DWN interface on the device
on the higher level is only for the use of software online upgrade. In this circumstance, the network
L-LOF (Red):
ON: loss of frame (LOF) alarm at the local optical interface
R-LOF (Red):
ON: loss of frame (LOF) alarm at the remote optical interface
L-E-3 (Red):
ON: the receiving signal bit error rate (BER) at the local optical interface exceeds 1E-3
R-E-3 (Red):
ON: the receiving signal BER at the remote optical interface exceeds 1E-3
L-E-6 (Yellow):
ON: the receiving signal BER at the local optical interface exceeds 1E-6
R-E-6 (Yellow):
ON: the receiving signal BER at the remote optical interface exceeds 1E-6
L-E1 USED (1~8) (Green):
ON: the local E1 tributary 1~8 are well connected
OFF: loss of receiving signal alarm occurs at the local E1 tributary 1~8
R-E1 USED (1~8) (Green):
ON: the remote E1 interface 1~8 are well connected
OFF: loss of receiving signal alarm occurs at the remote E1 tributary 1~8
For device models with optical transceivers using dual-strand optical transceivers, the optical
interface is DSC/PC interface. "TX" indicates optical signal output. "RX" indicates optical
signal input.
For device models with optical transceivers using signal-strand optical transceivers, the
optical interface is SC/PC interface.
LNK-UP
Local network management interface or cascade interface.
Connect to the serial port of the PC for network management or connect to the LNK-DWN
interface of the device on the higher level in the cascade. It is a RJ-45 interface. Comply with
RS232 electrical level standard. The port will be working at the rate of 19200bps.
LNK-DWN
Cascade interface.
Connect to the LNK-UP interface of the device on the lower level of the cascade. Comply
with RS232 electrical level standard. The port will be working at the rate of 19200bps.
