Adjust tuned channels
You can store TV channels on channel
numbers of their own. Fine tune the
channel reception, indicate the presence
of coded channels and choose appropriate
sound types for the individual channels.
> Bring up the TV SETUP menu and highlight
TUNING.
> Press the centre button to bring up the
TUNING menu and highlight MANUAL
TUNING.
> Press the centre button to bring up the TV
MANUAL TUNING menu.
> Use the navigation button up and down to
move between the items in the menu.
> Use the navigation button left and right to
view your choices for each item.
> If you choose NAME, then press the
green button to start the naming
procedure. Use the navigation button up
and down to enter the characters in the
name you choose. Use the navigation
button left and right to move between the
characters in the name.
> To bring up the extra TV MANUAL
TUNING menu, move to EXTRA and press
the centre button. Now fine tune if
relevant, or select type of sound.
> When you have finished editing, press the
centre button to accept the settings.
> Press the centre button to store the
adjusted channel.
> Press and hold BACK to exit all menus.
>> Edit tuned TV channels
If the item TV SYSTEM appears on the menu,
then make sure that the correct broadcast
system is displayed before you begin tuning:
B/G ... for PAL/SECAM BG
I ...
for PAL I
L ...
for SECAM L
M ...
for NTSC M
D/K ... for PAL/SECAM D/K
If channels are broadcasted with two
languages and you want both languages,
you can store the channel twice, once with
each language.
What's on the TV MANUAL TUNING
menu ...
SEARCH ... Start search tuning.
FREQUENCY ... Select a frequency to tune in.
CHANNEL NUMBER ... Store or change
channel number. You can store 99 channels.
NAME ... Access the naming menu and
name the channel you have selected.
EXTRA ... Access the extra TV MANUAL
TUNING menu.
What's on the extra TV MANUAL
TUNING menu ...
FINE TUNE ... Fine tune the frequency of a
channel or tuned channel. You can fine
tune within the range of -8 – +8.
(DECODER) ... A decoder is necessary for the
reception of coded channels. Usually the
decoder is detected automatically during
tuning, but it can be selected via this
menu option. Set DECODER to one of
following options: ON (for decoder on) or
OFF (for no decoder).
(TV SYSTEM) ... TV broadcast system – this
option is only available on certain types of
TV sets, as the TV broadcast system is
usually selected automatically.

SOUND (mono, stereo or language) ...
Several types of sound may be available
for different channels, mono, stereo or
different languages. On the relevant
channel or frequency select the options
MONO (FM / NICAM mono sound),
STEREO (NICAM / A2 stereo sound),
MONO1 (mono language 1), MONO2
(mono language 2), MONO3 (mono
language 3), or STEREO2 (stereo language 2).
Even though you store a type of sound/
language, you can switch between the various
types while watching a TV programme. For
