Troubleshooting

This section provides troubleshooting information for the user and service
technician.
3.3.1

Easy troubleshooting

If something appears to be wrong with your unit, check it by referring to the
troubleshooting table below. If you cannot restore normal operation, please do
not attempt to check inside any unit. Any repair work is best left to a qualified
technician.
If...
you pressed the [POWER]
key to turn on the radar
the radar has warmed up
and you pressed the
[STBY/TX] key to transmit
you have adjusted the gain
with FTC and STC off
a key is pressed

3. MAINTENANCE, TROUBLESHOOTING
Then...
• try adjusting the control panel
backlighting with Panel Dimmer on
the OTHER menu.
• battery may have discharged.
• check fuse.
• try adjusting the brilliance with the
[BRILL] control.
• the problem may be in the antenna
unit. Request service.
• have a qualified technician check the
set.
• check signal cable for damage.
Replace if damaged.
• check signal cable for damage.
Replace if damaged.
• key may be faulty. Request service.
