Setting the guard zone

1. Mentally create the guard zone you want to set.
2. Referring to (2) in Figure 1-22 operate the trackball to set the cursor at top left
corner of guard zone. Press the [GUARD ALARM] key. "*G (IN)" (or "*G
(OUT")), with asterisk blinking, appears at the top right corner of the display.
See Figure 1-22 (2). (The asterisk indicates the guard zone is partially set.)
3. Operate the trackball to set the cursor bottom right corner of guard zone. See
Figure 1-22 (3).
4. Press the [GUARD ALARM] key. The asterisk disappears. See Figure 1-22
(4).

Silencing the aural alarm

Any radar targets violating the guard zone will trigger the aural alarm. You can
silence the alarm by pressing the [GUARD ALARM] key. When this is done, "G
(ACKN)" replaces "G (IN)" (or "G (OUT))." This means the alarm is temporarily
deactivated. Press the [GUARD ALARM] key again to reactivate the alarm.
