Table 1-2 OTHERS menu description
Adjusts illumination of control panel.
Adjusts brilliance of all markers except heading marker,
north marker and range rings.
Adjusts brilliance of heading marker.
Adjusts brilliance of all alphanumeric characters.
Selects multitone or monotone echo trail.
Sets pulselength to use on 3 and 6 km ranges.
Turns noise rejector on/off.
Selects echo trail time.
Chooses automatic or manual tuning.
Turns waypoint mark (input from video plotter) on/off.
Selects bearing reference for the EBLs; reference to
ship's heading (relative) or reference to North (true).
Selects unit of range measurement for VRM; nm, km,
and sm.
Selects watchman standby period.
Selects function to use in standby; display "STBY," go
into economy mode, or display nav data.
Chooses how the guard alarm is triggered, by targets
entering (In) or exiting (Out) the guard zone.
Chooses how to display own ship position; L/L or Loran
TD. (Connected navigator must be capable of outputting
a particular position format in order to display it.)
Displays cursor position as range and bearing from own
ship, or L/L position.
Selects target echo level which triggers the guard alarm;
Low, Medium, High.
Turns dead sector display (area where no pulses are
transmitted) on/off. Dead sector is set at installation.
Selects ranges to use.

Turns 2
trace echo rejector on/off.
Executes diagnostic test.
For use by the installer. (Cannot be accessed by the
operator.)
