Notes on navigation data in standby

Appropriate sensor required to display any data.
When the range to the TO waypoint becomes 0.1 nm, the WPT mark jumps to
dead ahead even though a difference may exist between heading and bearing
to WPT.
"XTE" blinks when cross track error exceeds 1 nm.

Parallel Index Lines

Parallel index lines (max. six lines) can be turned on/off from the main menu with
INDEX LINE. The parallel index lines are useful for maintaining a constant
distance between own ship and a coastline or partner ship. They can be rotated
by EBL2 and their width changed by VRM2. The number of lines shown depends
on the range in use and width between parallel index lines.

Economy Mode

The CRT can be set to automatically turn itself off when in standby to reduce
power consumption. This feature is called the "economy mode."
To turn the economy mode on do the following:
1. Press the [MENU] key to show the main menu.
2. Use the trackball to select OTHER MENU and press the [ENTER] key.
3. Select "14. STBY Disp" followed by Econo.
4. Press the [ENTER] key.
5. Press the [MENU] key to close the menu.
"Economy" is shown in green during stand-by.
