10.0 – SEAT SAFETY CHECK
Children have STRANGLED in loose or partially
buckled harness straps. Fully restrain the child
even when carrier is used outside the vehicle.
Ensure the infant car seat is secure to reduce your child's risk of
serious injury or death.
EVERY TIME YOU DRIVE WITH YOUR CHILD:
Always ensure the installation is secure by attempting to
move the base (or seat if used without the base) by firmly
pushing and pulling the base or seat at the location of the
belt path.
• The base or seat should not move
more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) from
side-to-side and back-to-front
at the location of the belt path.
If the base or seat moves
more than 1 inch and/
or the seatbelt loosens
or lengthens, try the
installation again or utilize
an alternative method as
detailed in your instruction
manual.
