8.2 Securing Your Child in the Infant Car
Seat
You MUST prepare your child and the harness straps before
securing your child in the infant car seat. This ensures the
harness straps provide adequate protection when your child is
secured.
• Remove bulky clothing or blankets before placing your
child in the seat.
• Never place blankets underneath or behind your child or
inside the infant car seat.
• Do not allow anything to interfere with or impede the
infant car seat from changing adjustment positions.
1. Loosen the harness by pressing
the harness release button while
pulling out on the shoulder straps.
This will lengthen the harness,
allowing
the headrest to move.
