9.0 – CHILD SAFETY CHECK
Inspect the fit of the restraint after securing your child.
EVERY TIME YOU SECURE YOUR
CHILD, ENSURE:
1. Top of your child's head is at
least 1 inch (2.5 cm) below the
top of the infant car seat and
headrest.
2. Bottom of the headrest and
harness straps are at or below
the shoulders of your child.
3. Chest clip is:
• In the middle of your child's chest.
• Level with your child's armpits.
4. The harness is:
• Snug. You should not
be able to pinch excess
harness between your
fingers.
• Without any slack or sag.
• Not putting excessive pressure on your child.
• Straight and flat against your child's shoulders.
