pushing down firmly on the base and pulling up on the
adjustment belt.
10. The base should sit flat.
• If the base is tilting, restart the installation process in
another seating location.
11. Ensure the vehicle belt positioner door is closed.
12. Ensure the base is still level.
• If it is not level, readjust the recline angle.
13. Always ensure the installation is secure by attempting
to move the base (or seat if used without the base) by
firmly pushing and pulling the base at the location of the
belt path. The base or seat should not move more than 1
inch (2.5 cm) from side-to-side and back-to-front at the
location of the belt path. If the base or seat moves more
than 1 inch and/or the LATCH belt loosens or lengthens, try
the installation again or utilize an alternative method as
detailed in your instruction manual.
14. Ensure no vehicle seats or doors interfere with the
operation or alter the position of the infant car seat or base.
If interference exists, start the installation process over at
step #1 of this section.
