6. Remove a dummy drive carrier (identified by white lock lever) from the slot,
see Figure 4-36. Refer to Removing a Hard Disk Drive later in this chapter.
Note:
the proper cooling effect. Leave the dummy drive carrier in
unused slots so that the server can operate efficiently.
(Keep all removed dummy drive carriers for future use.)
Do not insert your hand or any tool into the slot with the disk
tray or dummy drive carrier removed. Failure to follow this
caution may cause an electric shock or fire.

7. The drive carrier is shipped with the add-on drive. Remove the new drive
from its protective wrapper and place it on an antistatic surface. Record the
drive model and serial numbers in the equipment log.
8. Position the drive so its SCA connector is near the top surface of the drive.
Place the drive on the antistatic surface again. Slide the drive into the carrier
with its SCA connector facing toward the rear of the carrier (open end).
9. While holding the drive in the carrier with your left hand, align the drive's
screw holes with the carrier's screw holes and insert the four screws of
appropriate size and length (see Figure 4-37).
