Connection Details

Connecting HDMI Connectors

Use an Extron LockIt lacing bracket to secure an HDMI cable to each device.

Contact closure connector — Connect a contact closure device (such
as a simple switch) to the 3.5 mm, 4-pole captive screw connector.
The first three ports are used for selecting inputs 1 through 3 when
momentarily shorted to the ground pin (see

Remote RS-232 connector — Connect a host device to the 3.5 mm,
3-pole captive screw connector for serial control of the switcher.
Power connector — Connect an external power supply to the 3.5 mm, 2-pole
captive screw connector (see
Plug the HDMI cables into the panel connection
(see
of the image to the right).

Loosen the side HDMI connection mounting screw from
the panel enough to allow the LockIt lacing bracket to
be placed over it (see
). The screw does not have to

be removed.
Place the LockIt lacing bracket on the screw and
against the HDMI connector, then tighten the screw to
secure the bracket (see

Do not overtighten the HDMI
ATTENTION:
connector mounting screw. The shield to which it is
fastened is very thin and can easily be stripped.

Loosely place the included tie wrap around the HDMI connector and the LockIt lacing
bracket (see

While holding the connector securely against the lacing bracket, use pliers or a similar
tool to tighten the tie wrap, then remove any excess length.
