6... DOWNLOADING FILES TO PICKUP
When you have all your sound files tagged and ready in iTunes, it's time to download them
from your computer to the master PICKUP audio guide. Here's how:
1) Plug the master PICKUP into the computer's USB port using the PICKUP USB cable which
is shipped with PICKUP.
2) A new disk icon will appear on the computer desktop.
3) Locate the exhibition folder in iTunes Music or in your designated PICKUP library.
4) Drag and drop your exhibition folder to the disk icon to copy the contents. Copying takes
approximately one minute for every hour of audio.
The light on the top of the PICKUP will flash rapidly while copying is in progress. Do not
disconnect the PICKUP from the computer during copying as this may damage the files.
5) When all the sound files have been copied, the light will stop flashing. If the light contin-
ues to flash but more slowly, it means that your PICKUP is not fully charged. If you want to
charge the PICKUP, leave it plugged in until the indicator stops flashing and shows a steady
light. If not, remove the PICKUP by pressing the eject key (Mac) or choosing Safely Remove
Hardware (PC) and then disconnect the PICKUP from the computer.
Your PICKUP now contains all the sound files for your exhibition. Set the identity numbers of
the transponders in your tour and test them together with PICKUP.
