about the tour. It can also be a silent file, solely for the purpose of setting the PICKUP into
audio guide mode. Alternatively, an embedded file command can be added to prevent the
file playing (see LOCAL COMMANDS).
In the above example, the welcome file is located in an Album with 0000 as the first four
digits. This ensures that it will be played first of all the files in the exhibition.

interprets the texts there. If the information in the
Comments field appears to be relevant for PICKUP, the
text is translated into active commands. There are two
kinds of commands:
Global command
When a sound file with a Global
command is played, the command comes into effect from
that file and remains in effect for all subsequent files.
Local command
This kind of command only affects the
current sound file.
By entering commands in the very first sound file (the
welcome file), you influence the way all subsequent files
are handled.
The welcome file can, for example, consist of a brief mes-
sage greeting the visitor and relaying useful information
