local commandS
These commands only affect individual files.
Loop
Values [–/number]. Usually set to – (no value). This means the sound file plays in a loop, until
the user presses the action button and stops it. In other words, the file will keep playing until
the user actively chooses a different sound file, by point-clicking on a new transponder, for
example.
If a Loop command is followed by a digit the file will play the specified number of times. If
the Loop command is set to 1, the file plays once. This is also what happens if no Loop com-
mand is entered. If the command is set to 0, the file will not be played at all. Any embedded
commands will, however, be carried out. This may be useful if you want to execute commands
without playing any sound.
Example >
Hold
Values: [–/time], usually set to –. Use Hold if you have several sound files in a sequence and
you want the user to actively choose to continue to the next segment. For example, the nar-
rator might round off a sound segment with "For more info, point at the floor and press the
button!" The file with the embedded command is of course played first.
Stating a value, such as 1.5, entails a pause of 1.5 seconds before the subsequent file is
played. The time format used is: HH:MM:SS.SS.
Example >
playing.
L. The file will repeat until stopped.
H 10.23 gives a pause of 10.23 seconds before the next sound file starts
