Terminating Internal and External Disk Arrays You can use both internal and external drives with MegaRAID.
You still must make sure that the proper SCSI termination and termination power is preserved.
MegaRAID termination should always be disabled or controlled by software. Make sure J2, J3, J5
and J7 have pins 2-3 shorted, or pins 1-2 are shorted (termination controlled by software).
