Hardware Upgrade Preparations

This chapter explains how to prepare the workstation for the installation of
optional hardware upgrades. Information about reconfiguring the workstation is
also discussed to ensure that newly installed components are recognized by
your system. This chapter also identifies all internal components.
IMPORTANT: Compaq recommends that you finish the setup procedures for
the preinstalled software before you install any optional hardware or
third-party devices that were not included with the workstation. For more
information about the setup procedures, refer to the Software Installation
Guide.
