CMOS Battery Removal

Remove the 3-volt lithium battery from the system board as follows.
Remove the bottom cover from the system unit (see "Bottom Cover Removal" earlier in this

Remove the CD-ROM drive (see "CD-ROM Drive Removal" earlier in this section).

Carefully lift the plastic shield for access to the battery (see the following figure for shield
