NFP Storage Manager 1.1 User's Manual

Windows Domain/Workgroup Setup

It is up to the system administrator whether or not to open NP1040
NAS for access by Windows clients. Select Enable Windows
network ing if you want to allow Windows clients, and then select a
Workgroup or Domain for the server.
If you choose a workgroup, you only have to select the workgroup in
the NFP Storage Manager.
If you choose to add NP1040 NAS server to a Windows Domain, you
need to add NP1040 NAS server account to the PDC, i.e. a Windows
NT/2000 Server, and then enter the Windows Domain information in
the Network SetupàWindows Domain page of NFP Storage
Manager.
Settings on Windows NT PDC
From the Start menu, select ProgramsàAdministrative Tools,

Open the Server Manager and select ComputeràAdd to

Domain.
In the column Computer Type, select Windows NT Workstation
