2. On L and E units, unclip the receiver pcba (Fig. 4 #1).
3. Release the internal electrics tray (two screws, Fig. 4 #2); remove the fan
cowl (four screws).
4. On L and E units, slide the return air sensor from its tie wraps on the fan
guard.
5. If the unit is installed:
Hang the internal electrics tray from the fan using the hook located on
the tray. Remove the four chassis retaining screws and lower the
chassis.
If the unit has not been installed:
Move the internal electrics tray to allow removal of the four chassis
retaining screws. Lift off the chassis.

FITTING THE MOTOR

6. Fit the motor as shown in Fig.5, ensuring that the drive arm is positioned as shown in Fig. 6.

7. Refit the chassis

WIRING

8. Connect the two way plug on the motor to the existing male connector in the external electrics area.
9. 'L' AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS (not heat pumps):
Ensure that the orange wire has been transferred from the pcba terminal 11 to the spare terminal on the heater
relay.
10. Some 600 units may be fitted with an AMP Mate 'n Lok cap, in which case an adaptor needs to be fitted:-
1. Locate the vane motor connection in the unit.
2. Cut the wires back by 50mm.
3. Strip back the cut wires by 8mm.
4. Hand crimp the red butt connectors to the stripped
wires.

ASSEMBLY AND TEST

11. Ensuring that the actuator arm locates in the slot in the fascia, fit the fascia to the unit.
12. If gravity drain, reconnect the drain hose.
13. When commissioning the unit, set the controls to heating and check that the vanes automatically move
downwards.
