INSTALLATION OF 550 SERIES CONDENSING UNITS AND 551 SERIES HEAT PUMP OUTDOOR
UNITS
MCU+ = standard condensing unit + FSC + LP
MHPUL(E) = electronic heat pump outdoor unit
MCUP = German description for MCU+
= standard condensing unit + FSC + LP
Units are supplied with loose restrictors which may be required, depending on the indoor unit it is matched with; refer
to page 14.
The installer will require:
2 flare spanners for securing the flare fittings Refrigeration quality pipework
A 5 or 8 mm Allen key to open the valves.
Kits are more easily fitted prior to mounting the unit.
These units are designed to stand on a flat surface. If the unit is to be wall mounted the following kits are available:-
(TEV Ltd cannot accept liability for installers own mounting arrangements).

Whether floor or wall mounted, it is essential that the mounting surface is capable of supporting the unit weight.
Leave space around the unit for air circulation and access for installation and maintenance.
