Appendix B: Using the Tool Strip
The Tool Strip provides an alternative to the SMART Pen Tray, making a wide range of touch,
display and annotation functionality accessible from the SBPD frame area. It contains all the
functions shown below:
Controlling Applications With Mouse Click Icons
1. Press the Left-Mouse Click icon in the Tool Strip.

Press the Right-Mouse Click icon in the Tool Strip.
Click
2. Press on the overlay surface anywhere inside the frame with your finger or the optional
stylus.
A left- or right-mouse click will be produced in the contact area and the underlying
application will be affected accordingly. Any annotation currently displayed on the overlay
Right-Mouse
will disappear.

LEFT-MOUSE CLICK NOTE: When using the Left-Mouse Click icon, each subsequent
contact produces another left-mouse click. To alter this behavior, you must click a different
icon.
RIGHT-MOUSE CLICK NOTE: Only the first contact with the overlay will produce a right-
mouse click. All subsequent contacts will automatically revert to left-mouse clicks. To
produce another right-mouse click, you'll need to press the Right-Mouse Click icon again.
NOTE: The Right-mouse click is only provided for Windows users.
