To map the position of the Display Control Strip:
1. Click the SMART Board Tools icon (
Panel button.
The SMART Board Control Panel dialog box will appear.
2. In the Boards tab, click on the Advanced button and select Plasma Icon Strip Settings
from the pop-up menu that appears.
The Edit Plasma Overlay Settings dialog box will appear.
3. In the Set Up Icon Strips tab, click the Display Control Strip button.
An orientation screen will appear.
4. Press the circled A on the Display Control Strip.
5. Press the circled B at the right edge of the Display Control Strip.
NOTE: If you press on a point too far from the actual letters on the icon strip, you'll receive
an error message asking you to repeat this procedure.
Configuring the Custom Strip
You can also use the Custom Strip to create your own icon strip by assigning commands to
icons that you have drawn on the strip. You should have already drawn the icons that you want
as explained on page 6 of this guide.
To configure the Custom Strip:
1. For Windows, click the SMART Board Tools icon (
the Control Panel button.
or
For Macintosh, click the SMART Board Tools icon (
Control Panel.
The SMART Board Control Panel dialog box will appear.
2. In the Boards tab, click the Advanced button and select Plasma Icon Strip Settings from
the pop-up menu that appears.
The Edit Plasma Overlay Settings dialog box will appear.
3. In the Set Up Icon Strips tab, click the Custom Strip button.
The Custom Button Strip dialog box will appear.
4. Click the Add Command button.
The Command List will appear.
5. Select the commands you want and click OK.
The commands you selected will be listed in the Custom Button Strip dialog box.
6. Click the Position Strip button.
An orientation screen will appear.
7. Press the circled A on the Custom Strip.
8. Press the circled B at the other edge of the Custom Strip.
