"Crosscutting" means cutting across the grain of a natural
wood workpiece. In other man-made materials, such as
MDF or plywood, crosscuttting means cutting across the
width of the workpiece.
DISCONNECT THE SAW FROM POWER!
Ensure that the blade guard/spreader is installed.
Move the rip fence aside and position the miter
gauge, adjusted to 90°, in a miter slot.
