Saving and restoring system settings

After configuring your base, you can save the current settings in a file on your PC.
The file will then contain, for example:
u
The settings for the local network (IP configuration),
u
The active phone numbers/connections,
u
The assignment of send and receive connections,
u
Your own local area code and access code,
u
Network mailbox number,
u
The info services settings,
u
The settings for synchronisation with a time server,
u
The ECO DECT settings,
u
The settings for ringer melodies and volume levels
If you change the settings accidentally or you need to reset the base due to a fault,
you can reload the saved settings from the file on your PC to your phone.

Open the Settings

Saving the settings for the base on your PC

In the Save device settings to PC area:

Click the Save button next to Save settings.
The base will create a file Gigaset-yyyy-mm-dd.cfg (default name; yyyy = year
4-digit format, mm = month 2-digit, dd = day 2-digit) with the configuration
data.

A browser-specific dialogue box appears where you can open/save the file.
Change the name, if necessary, and save the file on your PC.

Loading the settings from a file on the PC to the base

Prerequisite: There is a .cfg file with the settings for the base on your PC.
In the Reload device settings from PC area:

In the Settings File field, enter the cfg file you want to load onto the base
(complete path name), or click Browse... and navigate your way to the file.

Select Restore button to start the transfer.
