Foot Control and Sewing Speed

Sewing speed is determined by how hard you press
on the foot control. The harder you press on the foot
control, the faster the machine runs.
Operating Instructions (U.S.A. only)
Polarized plug
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of an electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not
modify the plug in any way.
Foot Controller Model YC-482J, YC-482J-EC or
TJC-150 is used with this sewing machine.
IMPORTANT: Before using your sewing machine
the first time, place waste fabric under the
presser foot and run the machine without thread
for a few minutes. Wipe away any excess oil.

Removing the Bobbin Case

Remove extension table and open the bobbin cover.
Hand turn the flywheel toward you to raise the
needle. Pull out the latch to remove the bobbin case.
Release latch. Drop bobbin out of bobbin case.

Spool Pins

Pull up spool pin(s) to place thread spool. Push
spool pin(s) down when carrying or storing machine.
NOTE: If thread tangles under spool A, pass
thread through hole B as shown.
