    FACE PLATE COVER FACE PLATE COVER Remove the cap A with a needle. Remove the set screw B and remove the face plate.

    BASE COVER Loosen the 4 set screws A and 4 set screws B. Remove the base cover.

    REAR COVER Remove the face plate (see page 3). Remove the base cover (see page 4). Remove the cap A and remove the set screw B. Raise the presser foot lever. Remove the rear panel.

    NEEDLE THREAD TENSION The standard needle thread tension should be 110 to 130 g when pulling a cotton thread size Ne 50/3 with tension gauge in the direction of B wi t h s e t t i n g t h e t e n s i o n a t “ 5 ” (Fig.

    BOBBIN THREAD TENSION The bobbin thread tension should be between 25 and 30 g when pulling a size Ne 50/3 cotton thread in the direction of B with tension gauge (ref. Fig. 1).     PRESSER BAR HEIGHT The standard presser bar height is 6.5-6.8 mm between the presser foot and needle plate when the presser bar lifter is up position (ref. Fig. 1). Remove the face plate (see page 3). Remove the set screw A and remove the lamp socket set plate B.(ref. Fig. 2) Raise the presser bar lifter.

    ZIGZAG TIMING If the machine is adjusted properly, needle should not swing when it is 5 – 6.5 mm above the needle plate. Set the zigzag lever at the maximum (applicable to models 2005 and 2007 only). Check : Run machine at full speed and observe one of the shiny spots on needle clamp which must describe a single arch (Fig 1).

    Remove the face plate (see page 3). Select the straight stitch at the center. (Applicable to models 2003 (see fig. 1) Loosen the set screw A and C. Turn the eccentric pin B to adjust the needle centering.

    FEED DOG HEIGHT When the needle is at highest position with the presser foot at up position, the distance between the presser foot and needle plate should be 1.0 to 1.2. (ref. Fig. 1).     NEEDLE CENTERING TO NEEDLE PLATE The needle size 14 (Nm 90) should in the center (forwards / backwards) of the hole of the needle plate. Remove the face plate (see page 2) Set the pattern selector dial at the left in straight sewing. Loosen hexagonal socket screw A and move the needle bar supporter B to adjust the centering.

    CLEARANCE BETWEEN NEEDLE AND SHUTTLE HOOK The clearance between needle and shuttle hook should be 0 – 0.15 mm. Note : A small correction could be done when doing needle centering to needle plate (see page 14). Set the pattern selector dial at the left in straight sewing. Remove the rear cover (see page 5).

    NEEDLE BAR HEIGHT Check: Take out bobbin case and shuttle race cap. Select zigzag and max width stitch. Rotate flywheel until needle is full down in right position. Then slowly raise needle bar to C position, the distance shall be 1 mm. Adjustment: 1.

    HOOK TIMING Check: 1. Take out bobbin case and shuttle race cap. 2. Select zigzag and max width stitch. 3. Rotate flywheel until needle is full down in the left needle position. 4. The point of shuttle shall be 3.2 mm to the left of needle (ref. Fig. 1). Adjustment : 1. Remove rear cover (see page 5).

    FEED LIFTING CAM POSITION Check: 1. Turn the flywheel to make needle point position above needle plate. 2. At this time, teeth of feed dog are required to keep same height with of needle plate surface (ref. Fig.1). Adjustment: 1. Remove rear cover (see page 5). 2. Loosen feed lifting cam set screw A (Hexagon M5x5).

    FEED TIMING Dismantling the Rear cover (see page 5). The reference mark A of feed cam should be aligned with mark B on the upper shaft. 1. Loosen screw C. 2. Turn feed cam until marks A and B are aligned as per sketch and tighten screw C.

    BUTTONHOLE SIZE 2005 / 2007 Sew an automatic buttonhole with the buttonhole foot and a button in position. The length of the buttonhole is 1 to 2mm longer then the button. When the buttonhole is too long (A). Or too short (B). Remove the screw cap D.
