Character Sets

This parameter selects a character set for the Epson emulation. Note that
when OCR A or OCR B is selected as the print language, the print quality is
changed to OCR A or OCR B, respectively. See the 6400 ASCII
Programmer's Reference Manual for more information on character sets.

Epson Print Language

This parameter selects a print language for the Epson emulation. Each print
language selection supports a different foreign language character set. A host
data stream command that changes the print language overrides the print
language that is specified via the operator panel.

Define CR Code

The DEFINE CR CODE (Define Carriage Return Code) option controls the
action of the printer when it receives a Carriage Return code (ØD hex) from
the host computer. If this feature is enabled, each time the printer receives a
Carriage Return, it inserts an additional Line Feed code (ØA hex) into the
data stream. Do not use this feature if the host computer sends Line Feeds to
the printer.
CR = CR (the default) does not insert an extra Line Feed after each
Carriage Return.
CR = CR + LF inserts an extra Line Feed after each Carriage Return.

Auto LF

The AUTO LF (Auto Line Feed) option defines the printer actions when
print data is received past the forms width setting.
ENABLE (the default) performs an automatic carriage return and line
feed when data is received past the forms width.
DISABLE discards any data past the forms width.
