5-6-2. History of Emergencies Display

History of emergencies is displayed in the following format. The data is shown by hexadecimal numbers.
No. EMG MECHA DISC
ERR4 ERR5 ERR6
No.: This is the memory number of emergency. The latest emergency is stored in memory No. 1. The previous emergencies are stored
in No. 2 and later which are decremented as emergency occurs.
EMG: This is the category code of emergency. Refer to the emergency code table for more details.
MECHA: It shows status of mechanism when the emergency has occurred. Refer to the emergency code table for more details.
DISC: It shows the disc type/status when the emergency has occurred. Refer to the emergency code table for more details.
MODE: It shows the operation mode of system control microprocessor when emergency has occurred. Refer to the emergency code table
for more details.
ERR2-9: It shows contents of system control microprocessor when the emergency has occurred.

5-6-3. Initialization of Emergency History

The following commands are prepared in order to clear the emergency history when optical unit is exchanged, when analysis of abnormalities
starts or during assembling in the factory.
® How to clear the accumulated laser power-on time
Press the keys of remote commander in the order of [DISPLAY] and [CLEAR].
Display of the accumulated power-on time is changed to "000000" when clearing is completed.
® How to clear the history of emergencies
Press the keys of remote commander in the order of [TITLE] and [CLEAR].
Display of the history of emergencies is changed to "00".
® How to clear pre-set of the system control
Press the keys of remote commander in the order of [DVD MENU] and [CLEAR].
The message "Clear User preset" flashes for about 3 seconds. Clearing pre-set can be canceled by stopping the [STOP] button.
When the initial data is saved in EEPROM, the message "Clear OK" is displayed and return to the EMG.Hist display.

Other Checks

The information such as destination and ROM revision information is displayed when the [5] key of remote commander is press. All display
check for LEDs and display tubes is performed at the same time.

All displays of LEDs and display tubes turn on during this check. Status of the remote commander keys and panel keys are displayed in real
time. However, the main power is turned off when the [POWER] key is pressed. When the [RETURN] key is pressed, the player exits this
mode.
Press the [RETURN] key to return to the initial display and to turn off the LEDs and display tubes.
