(9-9) Audio mute line
ROM audio data→ARP→AVD→Analog Audio Out (Mute)
Error
10: Data transfer from ARP→ to AV decoder is not possible.
35: 2 ch DAC serial transfer interrupt is not detected.
37: PLL DAC serial transfer interrupt is not detected.
Bit stream data of MPEG-audio that is stored in ROM is sent to AV decoder through ARP, and is output in analog form from 2 ch DAC.
At this time the following mutes are turned on one after another to output the low frequency sound. The mute by SH I/O is turned on
firstly, then mute by AV decoder is mute and lastly mute by the DAC setting is turned on. After that mutes are turned off so that the high
frequency sound is output. This completes the check using the audible frequency sound. When mutes do not work, the low sound can be
heard. This check can be repeated to find out which mute does not work by looking at the messages carefully while listening to sounds.
When error is not detected, a message is output which prompts key input.
(9-10) MGA 16-bit→24-bit conversion (DD, KARAOKE models only)
ROM audio data→ARP→AVD (16-bit output) →MGA→Analog Audio Out
Error
10: Data transfer from ARP→ to AV decoder is not possible.
35: 2 ch DAC serial transfer interrupt is not detected.
37: PLL DAC serial transfer interrupt is not detected.
Check that the clock is delayed in accordance with the selector switch when the audio output from AVDEC is set to 16-bit. For
confirmation, output the signal after setting the selector switch to off. When the machine works normally, sound of the first time is same
as the sound of "MPEG audio: analog output". However, sound of the second time has significantly the lower level (around -48dB).
When error is not detected, a message is output which prompts key input.
(9-11) MGA - DCS selector switch check(DD machines only)
ROM audio data→ARP→AVD→MGA→Analog Audio Out
Error
10: Data transfer from ARP→ to AV decoder is not possible.
35: 2 ch DAC serial transfer interrupt is not detected.
37: PLL DAC serial transfer interrupt is not detected.
Check that the signal from AV decoder to DAC is cut off when the DCS selector switch is operated. Firstly, set DCS selector switch to
on to output the lower frequency sound. For confirmation, set the selector switch to off to output the high frequency sound. When the
high frequency sound is heard, check is completed. When the low frequency sound is heard before the end of this test, the DCS selector
fails to work. When error is not detected, a message is output which prompts key input.
(9-12) MGA - KARAOKE selector switch check(KARAOKE machines only)
ROM audio data→ARP→AVD→MGA→Analog Audio Out
Error
10: Data transfer from ARP→ to AV decoder is not possible.
35: 2 ch DAC serial transfer interrupt is not detected.
37: PLL DAC serial transfer interrupt is not detected.
Check that the signal from AV decoder to DAC is cut off when the KARAOKE selector switch is operated. Firstly, set KARAOKE
selector switch to on to output the lower frequency sound. For confirmation, set the selector switch to off to output the high frequency
sound. When the high frequency sound is heard, check is completed. When the low frequency sound is heard before the end of this test,
the DCS selector fails to work. When error is not detected, a message is output which prompts key input.
