Before you start cutting, you should familiarize yourself with the cutter and its basic parts and functions:

Control Panel
Carriage Arm
Left/Right Pinch Roller(s)
Left/Right Emergency "Kill" Switch(es) Used to automatically stop the machine from cutting (to

Holds the Blade (or Pen) Carriage. Also houses the laser
used for contour cutting.
