AC Power and Backup Battery

The system is powered by a 9VAC, 15VA Plug-in Transformer, ADEMCO 1332/1332X10 (1332CN in Canada).
Refer to the wiring table below for wire gauge and length.
Use only the 1332/1332X10 or
Transformer provided
Wiring to the AC Transformer must not exceed 300 feet using 16-gauge wire. The voltage reading between
terminals 15 and 16 of the control must not fall below 9.00VAC.
Do not plug the transformer into the AC outlet until after all wiring connections have been made.
Backup battery. In the event of an AC power loss, the system is supported by a long life backup battery that is
supervised for connection and for low voltage conditions. If the battery is missing, or a low battery condition is
detected, a "low battery" message is displayed and a report is sent to the central station. In addition, the system will
beep once every 45 seconds to audibly indicate a low battery condition (press any key to stop the beeping).
LYNXR and LYNXR24 are equipped with an integral, replaceable battery pack. Select the appropriate battery based
on the installation's requirement and install the battery pack.

LYNXR Six (6) rechargeable 1.2-volt nickel-
metal hydride in battery pack.
LYNXR24 Six (6) rechargeable 1.2-volt nickel-
metal hydride in battery pack.
AC Power and Backup Battery
1. Connect wires from the 1332/1332X10 (1332CN in
Canada) AC Transformer to terminals 15 and 16 as
shown in the wiring diagram.
2. Remove battery retainer and insert battery pack into
back plate.
3. Install battery retainer.
4. Connect battery connector to receptacle on terminal
block PC board.
5. After all wiring connections have been made, snap the
front assembly to the back plate and plug the
transformer into a 24-hour, 110VAC unswitched outlet.
6. Rechargeable batteries may take up to 48-hours to fully
charge. The "LOW BAT" message should clear within
four hours or by entering Test Mode.
Ensure cover is closed prior to applying AC power.
