7.17 Groin Strap

When fitting the groin strap for the first time, it is best to remove the seating unit from the outdoor
mobility base. Position the groin strap with the quick-release buckles on the thigh belts pointing
downwards on the seat surface.
Thread the attachment straps of the groin strap between seat and back padding, wrap them
around the back of the seat edge and affix with the hip support screws (Fig. 15).
Thread the tensioning straps for the thigh belts (the end with a loop) on the right and left side
through the roll loops (Fig. 23). Thread the free end through the loop and tighten the tensioning
strap.
Now pull the free ends of the tensioning straps toward the seat padding. You can now seat the
child in the Kimba Spring on the groin strap:
Guide the thigh belts up between the legs and over the thighs to the outside. The part of the
thigh belt to which the buckle is attached should lie on the pelvic bone.
Insert the male side of the quick-release buckles located on the tensioning straps into the
buckles
(Fig. 48)
on the thigh belts. Tighten the thigh belt by pulling the free end of the strap
that comes out of the buckle.
To disengage the quick-release buckle, press the tab on the plug.
