1 General Information 1.1 Preface The Eco Buggy is a quality product offering versatile use in everyday life. Before you start using your Eco Buggy, please make sure you read the sections "Delivery / Preparing the Eco Buggy for Use" and "Safety Instructions". Please keep these instructions in a safe place.
1.6 Service Service and repairs on the Eco Buggy may only be carried out by Otto Bock specialist dealers. Should any problems arise, please contact the supplier of your Eco Buggy. Any necessary repairs will be made exclusively with authentic Otto Bock spare parts there.
Before using the product, familiarise yourself with the handling, functioning and use of the product. Danger! The Eco Buggy may be used only on solid level ground. Danger! For safety reasons, ascending/descending stairs and lifting the buggy should be done by two persons.
Never leave your child unattended in the rehab buggy, even if the belts are in use and the wheel locks are engaged. Danger! Using your Otto Bock product as a seat for transportation in motor vehicles for the disabled� We recommend that, wherever and whenever possible, users of a wheelchair, mobility...
3 Delivery / Preparing the Eco Buggy for Use In the original package you will find the following components (see title page): • Buggy, in folded condition, with enclosed footrest • Instructions for use and required tools • Accessories as ordered Note! To assemble the footrests, please proceed as described under "Adjusting the Footrest Height"...

• Press the folding lever (Fig. 7) up to the stop to unfold the scissor construction. • Turn the footrests (Fig. 8) from the outer to the inner side and flip down the footplates. • Insert the holding bracket with the tip first into the slotted hole and laterally bring the footplates together until you hear the ratchet bolt engage. Attention! Before using the Eco Buggy, firmly close and engage the footplates to prevent ben- ding of the front frame. Attention! Risk of injury: Do not take hold of other moveable parts than the ones described, especially the folding scissor construction.

To fold the buggy, please proceed as follows: • Place the backrest in the most anterior position (Fig. 9). • Release the locking bar below the footplates (Fig. 10) and pull the footplates apart. • Swing the footrests to the outside beside the front wheels (Fig. 11). • Pull open the folding scissor below the seat (Fig.
4 Adjustment and Adaptation Possibilities 4.1 Caster Swivel Lock (Fig. 11) To engage the caster swivel lock, push the red locking slide upwards. To open it, push the lo- cking slide downwards. 4.2 Adjusting the Back Inclination (Fig. 9) After loosening the wing nuts, the back inclination is continuously adjustable. Retighten the wing nuts.
5.2 Lap Belt (Fig. 17) The standard equipment of the Eco Buggy includes a simple lap belt. To open the belt, press together the plastic tabs of the snap buckle und pull them out of the housing. To close the belt buckle, slide the plastic tabs into the housing until you hear the buckle engage.

• Mounting the strap in the shoulder area: Thread the shoulder pieces onto the five-point belt (Fig. 21). Hold the buckle as shown in Fig. 22 and thread it through the slot in the back (Fig. 23, item A). Follow this procedure on both sides. • Lead the fabric flaps of the shoulder pads through the respective lower slots in the back (Fig.

• Mounting the strap in the sitting area: Thread the flap of the centre strap from above through the slot in the seat surface (Fig. 26). • Beneath the seat surface, lead the holding buckle through the flap and close the buckle to fix the strap (Fig. 27). • The belt is now completely assembled (Fig. 28).

b) Getting into the belt: • Open the snap buckle of the lap belt (Fig. 29). c) Adjusting the lap belt: • Use the four adjusting buckles of the lap belt and shoulder straps to adjust the length (Fig. 30). • For optimal height adaptation of the shoulder straps please use the slots in the back upholstery (Fig.
5.4 Canopy Thanks to a net which is integrated into the canopy, the person sitting in the buggy remains visible to you at any time. For assembly/disassembly of the canopy, please proceed as follows: • First pull open the folding scissor below the seat (Fig. 32) to release the tension on the frame. • Then on both canopy sides first slide the upper before the lower snap-in tongues into the guiding grooves of the attachment points (Fig.
6 Care Instructions Attention! Clean all frame components and plastic parts using only standard, mild household cleaning agents. Attention! Do not use your Eco Buggy in salt water and keep sand or other particles from damaging the wheel bearings. Attention! After you have finished all adjustments, snugly re-tighten the screws that have been loosened.
8 Re-use / Disposal 8.1 Information on Re-use Attention! Risk due to improper use. Seat paddings that come directly into contact with the skin can cause functional and hygienic risks if the product is used by another person. They must be replaced for re-use.
