PoE Module LEDs

Port LEDs

There are two LEDs for each port:
The Link LED lights with a valid 10base-T or 100base-TX connection.
The Mode LED lights according to the LED mode selected on the chassis
and the LED mode selected on the HP ProCurve Switch PoE xl module.
If the module's LED mode selection is Std (standard), then the Mode LED
behaves as other HP ProCurve switch modules:

Attention
If the module's LED mode is PoE, the Mode LED provides information on the
status of the PoE connection for that port:
If the Mode LED in on the port is providing PoE power.
If the Mode LED is off the port is not providing PoE power.

Status LEDs

There are two status LEDs:
PoE - lights when PoE power is being supplied to one or more PDs. It goes
out when there are no valid loads attached to any of the ports. It will blink
to indicate an error on any of the ports or when any port is denied PoE
power.
EPS - lights when the module is connected to an HP 600 RPS/EPS or an
HP 610 EPS. It goes out when the HP 600 RPS/EPS or HP 610 EPS is
disconnected from the module. It blinks when there is an error on the HP
600 RPS/EPS or HP 610 EPS or it is over-subscribed, more PoE power is
needed than the HP 600 RPS/EPS or HP 610 EPS can supply.
