Troubleshooting Procedure
1. Check if there is / are any other DTC detected
such as RACK POSITION SENSOR or RACK
ACTUATOR related DTC.
If there is / are, repair the DTC first.
2. Check if the DTC is detected by actual
over-revolution faults.
If it was not over the revolution check the speed
sensor. (Look for contaminants on the sensor
core, connector, wire harness, etc.)

Troubleshooting by DTC Fault Codes
Engine Over Revolutions
Probable Cause
3. Check the fuel injection pump.
4. Check the injection nozzle and fuel line.
5. Check the fuel injection pump lag (rack actuator
performance).
If lag results in fault, replace the fuel injection
pump (including position sensor amplifier).
