D300 Viewfinder

When you look through the viewfinder, you'll see an
information display below the image area. This lighted display
is activated when you press the shutter release partway, and
turns off automatically with the metering timeout to conserve
power. In this book, whenever I refer to the "viewfinder
display," I'm referring to this information.
