JPEG normal Size
priority. File size is now
3MB. It's a little difficult
to see, but the edges of
the bars in the resolution
chart are now starting to
more clearly show JPEG
edge artifacts. Contrast
continues to build
slightly.
JPEG basic Optimal
quality. File size is now
1.7MB. Fine detail has
eroded quite a bit, and
I'm seeing JPEG artifacts
at one full step in the
resolution charts above
that of JPEG normal.
Note that only detail has
really changed as we
reduced the data set;
colors remain basically
unchanged.
JPEG basic Size
priority. Size has
dropped all the way to
896KB. Fine detail has
eroded quite a bit, and
I'm seeing JPEG artifacts
at one full step in the
resolution charts above
that of JPEG normal.
Still an impressive
showing considering the
data reduction, but those
