Decoder Icons – The Playback Controller application can be used with any
SCSI decoder produced by Vela. For this reason, the type, or Vela family, of
installed SCSI decoder can be ascertained by simply looking at the icon image
in the Decoder Selector Area and matching it to one of the pictures and descrip-
tions below:
SCSI 2 – Vela CineCast Prime Model 2000-0206 MPEG-2 SCSI-2
decoder board. Refer to the CineCast Prime user manual for operation
of its playback application.
SCSI 4Q – Vela CineCast Quad Model 2000-0402 4-Channel SCSI-2
MPEG-2 decoder system. Refer to the CineCast Quad user manual for
operation of its playback application.
SCSI 4QP – Vela CineCast Quad Pro Model 2000-0422 SDI 4-Channel
SCSI-2 MPEG-2 decoder system. Operation of its playback application is
covered in this chapter.
SCSI HD – Vela Model 2000-2165 High Definition decoder board and
Models 2000-0600 and 2000-0600-1 High Definition decoder systems.
Refer to the HD user manual for operation of the playback application.
SCSI 8 – Vela Model 2000-0801 8-Channel SCSI-2 MPEG-2 decoder
board. Refer to the 8-Channel user manual for operation of its playback
application.
CineCast Quad Pro Version 2.6 Installation and User Manual
Decoder Selector & Status Area – The current
status of each decoder channel can be monitored and
controlled from this area. Clicking on a decoder icon
in this frame will activate a particular decoder chan-
nel for playback or setup. The current status is also
given for all active decoder channels.
Hovering the mouse over the decoder icon will
display a tool tip showing the ID:LUN and firm-
ware revision of the selected decoder.
