It is designed for multiple proposes. Use JP1 of the IO board selects the RS-232,
RS-422 or RS-485. The default setting is RS-232.

3-2-4 LAN Ports (Gigabit Ethernet)
The RJ45 connector with 2 LED's for LAN. The right side LED (orange) indicates data is
being accessed and the left side LED (green) indicates on-line status. (On indicates
on-line and off indicates off-line).
