Chapter 2 Preparations
1.11.3 Installation
Install a PCI card to connect to a PCI slot by using the following procedure.
1.
Before installation, make sure the switch or jumper settings on the card are properly set according to
the instruction manual supplied with the card if necessary.
2.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.3 Overview of Installation and Removal) for preparations.
3.
Remove the side cover while referring to Chapter 2 (1.4 Removing the Side Cover).
4.
Open the PCI slot retention latch.
5.
Remove the blank cover aligned with the slot where
you are going to install a card.
Important
Keep the removed blank cover for future use.
