Listening to a tape

Open the cassette compartment.

Insert a cassette into the cassette
compartment.
The unit draws the cassette,
and tape play starts
automatically after the
display panel moves up.
"Cassette in" indicator appears.
Notes:
• When a cassette is already in the cassette
compartment, select tape as the source by
pressing SOURCE (23) to start tape play.
• When one side of the tape reaches its end during
play, the other side of the tape automatically
starts playing. (Auto Reverse)

Each time you press and hold
SOURCE (23), the tape
direction changes alternately

To stop play and eject the cassette
Press 0 OFF briefly.
Tape play stops and the cassette automatically
ejects from the cassette compartment. The source
changes to the previously selected one.
If you change the source, the tape play also stops
(without ejecting the cassette this time).
• You can eject the cassette while the ignition key
is turned off by pressing
To close the display panel, press

• Turning on or off the ignition key does not close
the display panel. To close it, press

CAUTION
To fast-forward and rewind a tape
To stop fast forward and rewind at any position

on the tape, press and hold SOURCE (23).

Tape play starts from that position on the tape.

When the tape reaches its end while fast-forwarding, the
tape direction will be changed automatically.
